Is the band The Word Alive a Christian band?

To help answer this question, I will start by saying that; The word "Christian Band" is thrown around too loosely these days, and the true meaning has been lost in translation.

The fact is that if a band's purpose is not the share the love of Jesus through everything they do, to glorify Him and that their focus when it comes to the band is not to reach out and share His truth and love, they are NOT a Christian band.

Easily put a Christian band is nothing less than a ministry.

In regards to The Word Alive... The are not a ministry, they are a band which from my understanding is full of members who are Christian and believe in Jesus however do not sing about God as a focus.

Prior to this updated answer it was written "There Name is a christian reference which means pretty much The Bible alive. "

And this is true, and an awesome reference, however we can not as they say "judge a book by its cover" in this respect, just like the band "Testament" and other similar biblical based names we can not just assume they are a Christian band, the same as when we look at the name "Ivoryline" that the band supports cocaine.

They (TWA) have dropped the F bomb in songs including "2012" and "like father like son" something which does not glorify God does not share God's love through those words, shows that the band is not a ministry and therefor can not be put under the banner "Christian Band"

Just as a Christian who works in a bank is not a "Christan Banker"

Saying that does not put down their faith as individuals, as no one is perfect right?, it just clarifies that the band as a whole is just that "a band". Nothing more nothing less.
