I'm unsure what the question (pardon the pun) is but...
The Moody Blues released the single Question in the early summer of 1970 and reached number two in the UK charts (held off number one by the quite awful (certainly in comparison) Back Home by the England Football Squad). Question later opened the 1970 album A Question of Balance and it was an amalgam of two songs in the same key that Justin Hayward was struggling to complete when he took them into the studio.
Generally (although on occasions not), the writer of the song also was the lead singer. In the case of Question(singular), it was Justin Hayward.
