You won't find the word Saturday mentioned in The Bible. The names for days that we use today such as Saturday, Sunday, etc, weren't in use by the Jews of that day. Exodus 20:10 refers to the seventh day as the sabbath. The seventh day on the Jewish calendar was Saturday. In fact, even on today's calendars, Saturday is still the seventh day of the week. Sunday is actually the first day of the week.

One Christian view:

It depends on what you mean by "true". The issue is whether or not we are still under the Law or under a new covenant with Jesus, that provides all the commandments within the original ten, minus the Sabbath command. This school of thought is that we are to follow all Jesus' commands and that His commands included 9 of the original 10. But, Saturday is most likely the original day of the Sabbath, but does it really matter today?

Another view:

Yes. (Saturday). According the 4th commandment it says within the six days (Sunday-Friday) god created the world and rested on the 7th day. (Saturday). Long ago, non-believers of the Sabbath, changed the worship day, but god did not. He created that day for worship and rest. The changing has nothing to do with what God created for us. The true sabbath is on Saturday.

Judaism:

Shabbat is the 7th day of the week as per the Torah where HaShem (The Creator) specifies this requirement of the Jews. Judaism uses a lunar/solar calendar so days start and end at sundown. Therefore, Shabbat starts at sundown on Friday and ends Saturday at sundown - the 7th day.

According to the Bible from the Creation account in Genesis 1, after God created for 6 days, He rested and blessed the 7th day. This 'rest' is called the Sabbath day of rest. However, in Genesis the earth was found in darkness under water. God separated the darkness into night and made the day thus having evening and day the first day - repeated for the next 5 days totaling 6 days. The seventh 24 hour period began in night or darkness. Today, the biblical Sabbath begins sunset Friday to sunset Saturday. Nearly all Jews and some Christians still keep this Sabbath rest.

A quick read of history, particularly starting in 325 AD of the Roman Empire via Constantine, will show the beginning of discontinuing this Sabbath rest day (Judaizing in his terminology) in favor of the pagan 'Sols Invictus' or Sunday worship. This was finalized at the Council of Laodicea around 364 AD via Cannon XXIX.

If you are part of one of those traditions, then the Sabbath is not on a Saturday. For Jews, the Sabbath is observed from Sundown on Friday until the appearance of 3 stars on Saturday night. For Muslims, the Sabbath is on Friday. For most, but not all, Christians, the Sabbath is on Sunday.

How did Sunday end up on the sabbath day?

The Jewish Sabbath was Saturday, however the Sabbath began Friday with sundown and ended Saturday with sundown. Sunday became the Christian day of worship because Sunday is the day Christ rose from the dead. Catholics have retained the Jewish custom of the Sabbath beginning the day before sundown. Thus for Catholics "Sunday" (the Sabbath) technically begins on Saturday evening with sundown, and ends Sunday with sundown.
