Is the violin the most difficult instrument to play?

There are two opinions on this.

Opinion 1:

Most would say the Flute is more difficult. Flute requires a lot more than just embouchure. I played violin for one year and stopped because it was too boring and easy. I've been playing flute and piccolo for 7 years so I know what I'm talking about. And again, IN MY OPINION, it's more difficult to master.

Opinion 2:

Personally, I found the flute extremely easy to pick up, compared to the violin. The violin would be seen as harder because the accurate position of the notes needs to be determined by ear. Essentially, the notes are all there on the flute - one really only has to master the embouchure.

Violin definitely. Guitar is much easier to play because the notes are pre-selected, as in there are ridges that determines the pitch and all you have to do is press down at the general right area, but for violin, even the slightest leaning of your fingers can change the pitch. I have played both violin and guitar, and while I found guitar to be very easy to learn and was able to play most songs just by strumming it every now and then, for violin, I had invest hours and hours of practice time.

No. Piano is the most difficult. There are many professional violinists who have tried piano who would tell you that piano is more difficult.
