Yes; Rimmers Fall of Day is obviously where the Swan Song emblem/Artistry came from.

I infrequently post… however! On this one I feel a bit compelled. There are quite a few books out covering Rimmers’ art.

• William Rimmer is said to have created, from a sketch he drew previously, the “Fall of Day“ (other names exist but I cannot find truisms.

As the well known Ancient Greek legend… and then mythology of, Daedalus & his son, Icarus tells, Icarus flies too close to the sun, Etc blah, Etc.

At the risk of hurting feelings, his painting had nada, ziltch to do with anything other than Lucifer being cast from the heavens. ~Hence the angels Wings. Hence the Halo. Hence the fínesse; the handsome beautiful figure (as was he described in Versus somewhere). Bottom line is he would have been religiously persecuted. Rimmer certainly would not have risked it. HENCE Rimmer art piece became known as
