Munky ( James Shaffer) and Head ( Brian Welsch) orginated in a band called LAPD ( Love and Peace Dude) which failed. Johnathan (HIV) Davis was in a band called Sex Art which also failed. Sex Art was performing at a bar that Munky and Head were drinking at trying to locate a singer for a new group they wanted to put together. They recruited Johnathan Davis. Fieldy (Reginald Arvisu)might have played for LAPD, this i am unsure of. i do know he attended the same school as Munky and Head in Bakersfield. As for David Silveria the drummer of KoRn was picked up after the band put out request for a drummer. David was 15 at the time.

Only DiMarzio Blaze, because there was nothing else available in the early days of 7 string guitars. Munky is now back to the Blaze pickup for his latest signature guitar.
