Here's a recap of my situation. I have a 2000 Escalade and the radio, windows, & wipers would just stop working randomly. It would usually last for 20 to 30 mins, and then everything would work again. This has happened 7 or 8 times in the past 5 years, but it was never consistent to be able to troubleshoot. However, it happened again a week ago and it never fixed itself. So, I began searching the web for answers. I read several similar postings and they had mentioned that the issue could be a Body Control Module.

So I spent today in search of the illusive Body Control Module. I found out that it is in the middle console. Some tips for those attempting to take out the module, the easiest way is to remove the 4 screws to take the top of the console off. Next, unscrew the 2 wire harnesses, and disconnect them. Then, take out the 4 large bolts mounting the console to the floor. Next, slide the entire console back toward the rear doors. Now take the entire console out of the truck. There are several screws on the underside of the console that mount the Bose bass module to the console. Remove them and the bass module. You now have free access to the BCM. Disconnect the wire harnesses going to the BCM. Open up the BCM case, and the circuit board comes out very easily. I looked at the bottom of my circuit board, and one of the solder points was broken under one of the relays. I grabbed my solder gun and fixed the solder point. I put everything back together, and placed my keys in the ignition with my fingers crossed... IT WORKED! I saved hundreds of dollars, since a new BCM is a minimum of $200 plus labor! Thanks again to everyone!
