Little Stevie Wonder - "Fingertips Parts 1&2"
The last Motown song to reach No. 1 in the UK was "Reach Out I'll Be There" by The Four Tops, which topped the charts in 1976. After this, Motown's influence continued, but the label's singles began to chart less frequently at the top position. The iconic sound of Motown still resonates in music today, but the label's peak popularity in the UK largely occurred in the 1960s and 1970s.

Michael Jackson and his 4 brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon joined Motown records in 1964 and thus THE JACKSON 5 WERE BORN!!! They put out many #1 singles but, 8 or 9 years later due to a breach in contract, The Jackson 5 left Motown. They signed on with Epic record. (which Michael Jackson realeased 7 successful solo abums with) But because Motown had the rights to the name the Jackson 5, they changed there name to The Jacksons. They stoped puting out new music in the mid-80s because by that time Michael was busy with his own record. The band didn't formaly break-up intill 1990. They did reunite in 2001 at Michael Jackson's 30 year anniversary of being a solo artist. They have not played together seance.
Oh, what a lovely question! In the early days of Motown, the focus was primarily on promoting African American artists. However, as the label grew, they did sign a few white artists like Rare Earth and Teena Marie who had a deep appreciation for soul music. Motown believed in talent and passion above all else, creating a diverse and inclusive musical family.
