On 2001 deville cad will not start sometimes when you turn key it does nothing all other things work ok as windows radio lights you can try it again and it will start ok had it to a gm dealer?

My 1998 deville had the same behavior. The metal strip was worn down on my key. I replaced the key problem fixed.

If you do not still have the cell phone handset, get and hook it up. then do as above says. I had the same problem, and solved the problem by turning cell phone on and the turning it off again.

yes i beleave they are supposed to be one touch in both directions, however there were some production dates were they were not but i don't beleave that affected the 325i. i presume they go down with one touch but not up. try to reinitialize the windows, do this but getting in the car and starting it and let it idle, close all the doors and lower the front windows, now pull up on the window buttons all the way and when the windows close keep holding the buttons up in the close position for about 10 seconds, try the windows now, if that doesnt work, try the procedure again, (try about 3 times) if they down work still you might have a problem and i suggest taking it to your BMW dealer.
