My 2001 Town and Country radio stopped working--the clock went out, and the light that showed the stations was off, too. No sound--nothing. After about a week of trying to locate a fuse that said radio--which I never did find, I tried this. I went to the large fuse box located under the hood by the driver's side. and pulled out each fuse one at a time--there's about a dozen of them. I then examined each one to see if any were blown--none were, but I cleaned them off anyway, and replaced them back where they belonged. I went back inside, started the car--and presto--my radio worked! One of those fuses, I'm guessing, must be for the radio. I'm guessing that the crud (which I cleaned off) must have caused the connection to previously fail. Oh yeah, for a couple of days before my radio went dead, I noticed that I needed to reset my time and radio stations almost every time I turned off the engine, because they were mysteriously gone--probably had just enough crud on them to barely make the contact. Anyway, this worked for me. Still not sure which one of the fuses did the trick. Good luck!
Blown fuse. Your brake lights don't work either.
You have to turn on your car for the radio to work
You'll have to reprogram the radio code into the radio. This is done to prevent use of a stolen radio. The code should be in your owners manual or the dealership can get it for you.
He moved back to his hometown in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and is working at a local COUNTRY radio station
if your radio is theft protected you may have a short and that would triger the radio to go into theft mode enter the security code if this is a factory radio and it doesnt work call the dealership parts dept and give code
Radio in 1990 Lexus LS400 stopped working, possible answer?
A car radio that has stopped working will need to be checked for wiring problems or a problem in the radio itself. The car dealer should be able to track the source of the problem to let you know how to proceed with fixing it.
Yes a fuse is one possible cause.
Your radio operates on one fuse, so if your display wasn't working, but the radio still worked, your radio is fried. Replace it.
If the radio in a 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan quits working, it is likely a blown fuse. It could also be faulty wiring or a defective radio.
possible on same fuse
radio wont come on anymore
You should get a new radio. With the next radio you can get one with an AUX connection so that you will have an alternative to CDs and listening to the radio.
Blown fuse, broken wire, failed switch,
Check the fuses first. The clock is always on and as such is connected to one fuse. The radio only comes on when the key is in acc or on and is connected to a different fuse.
