Clarinet reeds come from cane.
Practice chanter reeds are generally plastic now, but some pipers use cane.

The two related links point to youtube videos provided by Reeds'n Stuff, showing a master class in reed making. The videos are in German (with English Translations of the tool names) which can be a little frustrating, but if a picture is worth a thousand words, these two videos are worth a whole lot more! If you freeze the first video after the seven reed stages appear, they are, from left to right, the cleaned cane (arundo Donax is the common reed cane), split cane piece, a piece cut to length, the piece after the bottom is planed flat, after the sides are tapered and the bottom sanded, pre-shaped, and after the final shaping. Watching the videos shows how these steps are achieved, and the amazing test of the reed after the final shaping: unlike double reeds, once the last shaping step is complete, the reed is finished!

The benefits of using Legere synthetic clarinet reeds over traditional cane reeds include consistent performance, durability, and longevity. Synthetic reeds do not need to be moistened, are less prone to warping or breaking, and can last longer than cane reeds. Additionally, they are more stable in different weather conditions and require less maintenance.
No, a clarinet reed is only made of of type of cane, opposed to bassoon and oboe reeds, which are made of two.

wood technically cane, like on old rocking chairs.
Some plants that can create reeds are the cyprus and the sugar cane plant. They are very pretty plants and both grow big reeds. The plants that grow reeds are in their own category of plants.

Find the reeds (the bamboo looking plant). Cut it and you'll get sugar canes. Then, you can craft it with a crafting table. Put one sugar cane on the 3rd row of the crafting table square, in the 2nd column.
