I have to assume that the timing is off someplace. Something was turned at some point in the assembly process. Go back to the crank and set it again. Yes, it's a pain, but you will find the mistake at some point.
No The manual also states that I should remove the spark plugs is that necessary?
The flywheel for the FWD tranny should have 6 bolts. The turbo flywheel has 100 teeth and the nonturbo should have 106. The AWD flywheel should have 7 bolts.

6 deg +/- 1 with distributer vacum blocked and idle at 750 +/- 50 rpm
Possibly under the Engine itself in the back next to the firewall. You may have to take out the Battery and Battery Tray.
On my '86, 300zx NA, the rocker switch on the console turns on the heated outside mirror (drivers side).
You can find a vacuum diagram for your 1987 2.4 liter nonturbo engine in most service manuals. The service manuals can be found at your local library.
Check for damaged or inoperative idle control valve assembly.
