Personally, the saddest song that I have ever heard is "The Christmas Shoes" by Newsong. It's about a poor family at Christmas time. The little boy, the mother and father's only son, saves up as much as he can to but his mother a single pair of red shoes because she is dying of cancer, so this will be her very last Christmas and the last time they will see each other until Heaven. I cry each time I listen to it.
Another sad song is "Heaven 9-11." I'm not sure who it's by, but it is on YouTube. This song is sung by a little girl who's father died in 9-11 at the Worlds Trade Center. I also have a tendency to cry at this song, as do my friends.
You should listen to those songs, I highly recommend them. Find the song called The Deal by Pat Campbell. It will tear your heart out.
