Maybe.Copyright is the protection against artistic works(not inventions,this is a misconception,patent offices protect inventions),and over the years people have been finding ways to eliminate it.One example is the pirating of artistic works(Movies,Muisc,etc.).Personally,i think it should be replaced with Creative Commons,as the creator of the artistic work can decide if it can be edited,distributed,credits should be given to the creator,etc.
