Should you quit your school band?

I am trying to figure this out for myself too. I am in the school band and am currently playing the Flute. My mom keeps telling me I should stay in It because I sound beautiful and its a good way to get a scholarship. I on the other hand do not like playing it hefquese I have to wake up very early to practice and waking up has always been difficult. If you like band then stay in it but since you want to quit and obviously don't like it ask your friends or family if you should stay in and if they think you sound good. But if some is trying to presure you into staying in it or quiting remember it's your choice. ************************************************************************************************ you may regret quitting. I tried to quit at the beginning of my 8th grade year, but it was too late. And I'm very glad I didn't quit! Band is really fun. I know 6th, 7th, and possibly even 8th grade can be a drag, but high school band is so fun.
