He was a guy from Florence, SC and raised in Charleston, SC and came to Nashville in the Air Force. Was statoned at Sewart AFB and his first record came out 2 weeks before his discharge. His Manager was Bill (Hoss) Allen a DJ on WLAC radio who told him to get our of the Air Force you are going to be a star. It hase been 55 years and I am still in the music business and love every minute of it. I own Door Knob Records and it is the oldest active independent record label in Nashville, being 37 years old. I have produced many,,many artist and put them on the charts. It has been a great 55 years. Gene Kennedy
