I play it in 3/4. [1 2&3& | 1 2&3&]. So [D DUDU | D DUDU]. Emphasize the strum on the 1. And throw in some improv. Different dynamics, modify the pattern throughout the song to give it a personal touch. don't play the same pattern, the same way, with the same sound all the way through the song. When the song is at a strong part, play the guitar strongly, at soft, quiet parts, soft and quiet on the guitar. I don't know if you needed all of that, but just thought I'd share just in case. If you didn't, just ignore the second part. Hope this helps!
