There are a lot more per position than you have listed here. You must include C (above Bb), even high Eb. Every Bb is playable in 1st position, every F 4th line (BC) & up, etc

1st position: Your slide is not out at all. Notes: B flat, F, B flat, D, F 2nd position: 2-3 inches out. Notes: A, E, A, D flat E
3rd position: About about a centimeter closer to you than the bell: Notes: A flat, E flat, A flat, C, E flat
4th position: About a centimeter FARTHER than the bell. G, D, G, B, D (I think!)
5th position: About 2 inches farther than 4th. G flat, D flat, G flat, D flat (I think)
6th position: A little tiny bit (one inch or so) farther than 5th: F, C, F, C
7th position: Unfortunatly I never use this position so this may not be very accurate but using the info above. It's about 1 inch farther than 6th. Notes: B, E flat, B
Starting at low C, C is in 6, Db is in 5, D is in 4, Eb is in 3, E is in 2 or 7, F is in 1 or 6, Gb is in 5, G is in 4, Ab is in 3 or 7, A is in 2 or 6, Bb is in 1 or 5, and B is in 4 or 7

There are 7 slide positions on a trombone. There are, however, modifications to those 7 positions to create accidentals and when playing a slide.

I'm sorry to say, but that is wrong. There are 7 positions on the trombone, starting on 1. You should google slide charts. [Eight.] [Usually there is only seven, but technically a trombone does have 8 positions. I'm pretty sure, seeing as one of my friends has been going to Allstate for 3 years. Though, if I'm wrong, you can hold it against me.] I'm very sure that the trombone only has SEVEN positions. I have played the trombone for six years and also take lessons. The only variation on the seven positions is when you play notes using the trigger, then the positions are somewhat blurred and you could say there are six positions, but this is a stretch. The slide positions for E is 1, 2, 3, 6, and 7. :)
2nd position. Don't ever assume that all Trombones are in Bb, & there are lots of A's that can be played in other positions besides 2nd even on a Bb Trombone.

To play the trombone you press your lips together tightly and blow this creates a buzzing noise you do this into the mouthpiece.There ar seven positions on your slide.the tighter your lips the higher the note the loser your lips the lower the note. Keep trying its hard at first but then its EASY.
