No. Eric Clapton, born in Surrey, England, is British, both born and raised there. His mother was born in London. His illegitimate father was Canadian. The thought of him being American is that he, like many other Brits, was influenced by the blues. He was in numerous rock bands and later went solo, and he sounded so American.

What process do you have to go through to get a British Passport Both your parents were born in the UK and when you were younger you used to have a British Passport?

I'm presuming you're NOT resident in the UK, else you could simply reference your prior passport on a renewal application. Failing that, mail the application with birth docs of your parents to the appropriate UK Embassy that issues passport in your country of resident. In the US, this would be the main Washington, DC embassy. You might have to appear in person for an interview as this seems like your first passport as an adult (?).

A child born in Boston to parents who were both in Boston?

It cant. If the child was born in Boston, he is an American citizen, even if for example, his parents were born in Canada- lived in Canada and was just on vacation when when the mom went into labour. In that case, even though his parents are not American citizens, the child is then an American citizen by law.Trick Question: It happened many times before and I can prove it. Here is how. Prior to the American Revolution Massachusetts is in North America and North America was a part of the British Empire. They are all British. Always think about time in things like this.
