It isn't really possibly to describe WA Mozart as a 'Communist', because the idea of Communism hadn't been founded yet. The Communist Manifesto, which really marks the major beginning of Communist thought, was published in 1848; Mozart died in 1791. And since Mozart was a musician and not a political theorist, he (at least to our knowledge today) did not expound any of the specific ideas which would later go on to make up the Communist school. However, we can gauge certain aspects of Mozart's political leanings from letters and other pieces of evidence he left behind. Most scholars have come to the conclusion that Mozart's political leanings can best be described as 'radical', which for today's standards corresponds to Liberal. However, there is much speculation involved in assessing his politics and unless more revealing evidence is discovered in the future it is likely we will never be certain of what his exact views were.
