Skillet was very well-received during the late 1990s.
This is more of an opinion question but I'd have to Skillet. Pillar is one of my favorite bands, but Skillet is way more popular... for example, Skillet is the headlining band at Kings Fest this year and their also one of the nominees for the GMA dove awards!!! Although they are both extremly popular Christian rock, Skillet is more popular than Pillar.
Skillet's most popular songs as of 2010 areMonsterHeroAwake And AliveWhispers In the DarkComatoseThe Last Night.

NEWSBOYS are by far WAY more popular than Skillet. For example, the NEWSBOYS headlined the uprise festival while skillet didnt. NEWSBOYS are by far the BETER band and are WAY more popular than skillet.
Because they are a Christian rock band.
