Whitney Houston died on February 11, 2012 in Ottawa, Canada at the age of 48. The cause of her death is currently unknown.
Lil Wayne is enrolled at the University of Houston, and he is currently taking Political Science.
It is difficult to say she encountered any unusual obstacles: any young person who decides to be a performer, as Whitney did (following in her mother's footsteps), has to accept the challenge of trying to break through and become famous. Whitney's fame did not occur immediately, but she persisted until she was successful. However, her obstacles came later, when she endured an abusive marriage and struggled with drug and alcohol addiction. Sadly, she was not able to overcome addiction, and it led to her death at the age of 48.
By most credible accounts, she had gone to her hotel room, alone, where she seems to have taken either cocaine or the tranquilizer Xanax, and then gone into the bathroom to take a bath. We may never know why she did what she did in her final days, but many addicts do not want their friends or even their entourage (including their bodyguards) to know they are still using, so perhaps she went to her room alone to hide the fact that she wanted to get high.
If I should stay, I would only be in your way. So I'll go, but I know I'll think of you every step of the way. And I will always love you. I will always love you. You, my darling you. Bittersweet memories, that is all I'm taking with me. So, goodbye. Please, don't cry. We both know I'm not what you need. And I will always love you. I will always love you. hope life treats you kind. And I hope you'll have all you've dreamed of. And I wish to you, joy and happiness. But above all this, I wish you love. And I will always love you.I will always love you. I will always love you. I will always love you. I will always love you. I, I will always love you. You, darling, I love you.Ooh, I'll always, I'll always love you,
There are some newspaper reports that she was taking Xanax, described in one newspaper as an "anxiety-reducing and habit-forming narcotic."

They got married on June 12, 1975 in Houston.
In my opinion, she appeared to suffer from some sort of anxiety disorder, which is why she was reportedly taking Xanax. In my opinion, she also appeared to be self-medicating to relieve the symptoms of such a disorder.

In January 2015, Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina (or Krissy, as she was known by her friends) was found unresponsive in a bathtub at her home in Atlanta. She never regained consciousness, and was on life support in an Atlanta hospital until finally being transferred to hospice care. She died on July 26, 2015. By most accounts, she had followed the self-destructive path of her mother and father, taking drugs and drinking heavily. Bobbi Kristina was only 22 when she died.
