Well in my point of veiw, yes. He used to abuse them.

Yes. Michael talks in an interview with Martin Bashair saying that his father used to whip him and his brothers with an ironing cord, a switch, a belt what ever he could find if they made a mistake while performing.

He also used to enjoy teasing Michael about his skin and his nose which lead to him feeling ugly and hating what he saw in the mirror for a lot of his adult life.
