I don't think they played together because BOB was not fond of Johnny. Johnny Nash sang BOb marleys tunes (some were hits, such as stir it up).
Well from what i can remember they played together at alperton high school around 1972 in our south building, and then i think bob done the old grey whistle test.
Just to put the record straight, I worked for Johnny Nash and Bob Marley in London during the 70's, they had a house together in Queens London and DID many appearances together with their backing group 'The Sons Of The Jungle' including The Dome in Brighton which had a star studded audience. Bob then left the country for Jamaica and brought The Wailers back to the UK (I still have a copy of the telegram Bob sent to inform us when they would be arriving back in the UK including flight details!)
