The black keys on a piano are the sharps and flats, which are the notes in between the white keys. They differ from the white keys because they represent the notes that are higher or lower by a half step. This creates a more complex and varied sound when played together with the white keys.
It is a musical instrument - similar in appearance to a piano. The keys are usually coloured opposite to a piano (white keys black, and black keys coloured black). The strings are 'plucked' in a harpsichord by tiny 'teeth' - instead of being struck by felt hammers as they are in a piano. This gives the instrument its distinctive sound.

imagine a piano without black keys. black keys play the note in between the white keys creating have steps. without the black keys, you wont know where a certain note on the piano, because the black keys create a pattern so you know where notes are.
The Black Keys was created in 2001.
It is unknown, however The Black Keys use many Christian allusions in some of their songs.
