There is the obvious solution of dieting, but that does take time and effort. I advise you begin dieting if you haven't already, and in the meantime:
Believe in what you have, i.e. define your best points. What do you like about yourself? If nothing, then you are a pessimist. THINK! There has to be something that you are proud of. If not, and you really don't like how you look, what about your personality? You may be kind, clever, sweet or just generally a lovely person. Everyone has something, and I guarantee you just need to find out what it is you know you have. The less confident you get, the less atractive and the less noticed you become. I know from experience. Confidence gets you noticed, so find out your qualities and bask in them if ever you are feeling shy!
