Actually, what inspired "Praise You In This Storm", was the story of a young girl named Erin. Whom was battling bone cancer. She was diagnosed when she was 7 on Sept. 11, 2001 and died at the age of 10 (on Nov. 1, 2004).

Yes, it has Psalms 121:1-2 in it, Mark added it in to try and capture the cry of a desperate mother.

What is the rhyme scheme of Who Am I by Casting Crowns?

Who am I, that the Lord of all the earthWould care to know my nameWould care to feel my hurtWho am I, that the bright and morning starWould choose to light the wayFor my ever wandering heartNot because of who I amBut because of what You've doneNot because of what I've doneBut because of who You areI am a flower quickly fadingHere today and gone tomorrowA wave tossed in the oceanVapor in the windStill You hear me when I'm callingLord, You catch me when I'm fallingAnd You've told me who I amI am Yours, I am YoursWho am I, that the eyes that see my sinWould look on me with loveAnd watch me rise againWho am I, that the voice that calmed the seaWould call out through the rainAnd calm the storm in meNot because of who I amBut because of what You've doneNot because of what I've doneBut because of who You areI am a flower quickly fadingHere today and gone tomorrowA wave tossed in the oceanVapor in the windStill You hear me when I'm callingLord, You catch me when I'm fallingAnd You've told me who I amI am Yours, I am YoursI am YoursWhom shall I fearWhom shall I fear'Cause I am YoursI am YoursWritten by Mark Hall © 2003 Club Zoo Music/SWECS Music Admin by Club Zoo Music/BMIBehind the Song:"There are a lot of songs today about who we are in Christ. There aren't many songs that talk about who we are without Him. Before you can truly understand who you are in Christ, you have to understand who you're not first, and to see what He's made out of you, out of what He started with. I'm just a flower faded, just a vapor in the wind, and the only thing I am is who He made me." - Mark Hall (Casting Crowns) Psalm 139/ Psalm 52/ Ephesians 2

What Biblical scriptures indicate the acceptance of the use of musical instruments in the worship of God?

In the Old Testament people were under the old law. They had burnt offerings (Genesis 8:20) and all sorts of other laws that were to be fulfilled in order to be fulfilling the word of God. Today we live under the new law. The New Testament. The old law was nailed to the cross Colossians 2:14 We are to sing and make melody in our heart, not from a instrument. In the book of Matthew chapter 26 verse 30 it speaks of the disciples singing a hymn, not coming together to play songs or instruments. Paul wrote in 1Corinthians 11:1 "Imitate me ,just as I also imitate Christ. == == The purpose of Christian music is to praise the Lord. Here is one of many scriptures referring to a musical instrument. Praise the Lord with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise. Psalm 33:2-3 Many instruments were used in worship in the temple in Jerusalem by the Jews along with singers. Various instruments are mentioned in the final Psalm,150: (Psalm 150:1-6) 150 Praise Jah, YOU people! Praise God in his holy place. Praise him in the expanse of his strength. 2 Praise him for his works of mightiness. Praise him according to the abundance of his greatness. 3 Praise him with the blowing of the horn. Praise him with the stringed instrument and the harp. 4 Praise him with the tambourine and the circle dance. Praise him with strings and the pipe. 5 Praise him with the cymbals of melodious sound. Praise him with the clashing cymbals. 6 Every breathing thing-let it praise Jah. Praise Jah, YOU people! Later instrumental music is certainly implied for Christians at Eph 5:18,19 (Ephesians 5:18-20) 18 ..., but keep getting filled with spirit, 19 speaking to yourselves with psalms and praises to God and spiritual songs, singing and accompanying yourselves with music in YOUR hearts to Jehovah, 20 in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ giving thanks . . . Thus musical instruments had a place in both Christian and pre-Christian worship.
