Neither style of music would proscribe a faster relative speed of notes. There are incredibly fast country guitar players and incredibly fast rock and roll players. It may be that there is a perception of a higher relative speed of notes from great country players since they tend to play without many effects and mostly without distortion effects. On the other hand, there are rock and roll guitar players, and jazz players, and fusion players, and classical players and flamenco players who can play notes with incredible speed and fluency. For comparisons, please compare the playing of Danny Gatton (Country) with John Petrucci or Steve Vai (Rock) with Paco de Lucia/John McGloughlin/Al Di Meola. Which is playing faster? My kid plays faster That stuff is old school. Lerxt is the man
The term acoustic guitar in general do not refer to classical guitar. A typical guitar has narrower neck and steel string, classical guitar has wider neck and nylon string SongScouting: Guitars are either acoustic or electric. A classical (sometimes called "folk") guitar is a type of acoustic guitar with a wider neck (for easier fingering with the right hand). An acoustic guitar can come nylon or steel strung. Note: never string a nylon guitar with steel strings or you may snap the neck.
