CLEP stands for the "College-Level Examination Program." In essence, an individual can receive college credit for knowledge already acquired through life experience. CLEP offers a variety of exams in general and subject particular areas. While there is a minimum score recommendation through the American Council on Education (ACE) for a recognized pass, all test takers should contact the college or university of their choice and ask for a list of acceptable CLEP scores for their school. What is the passing score for cleps exams?

It depends on what your school requires. Your university registrar will know which credit can be earned and the required score.I took the macroeconomics CLEP and scored a 75/80, needed a 50/80 for credit.Good Luck!

Is there any way to use a Bachelor of talmudic law to enroll in a masters program in psychology?

It is unlikely any legitimate university would admit you. A Bachelors in Talmudic Law means nothing scholastically; while it shows that you learned in a yeshiva for four years and may have kept a daily seder in learning a few perakim or masechtos, it says nothing about having strong skills in statistics, writing, or the sciences. If you have this "degree,' than you should check what courses are required to get into the graduate school you want to go to. You can enroll at a community college or take CLEPS in order to meet psychology, statistics and other requirements Hatzlacha rabba to you. If you haven't yet gone to college, than if you want to major in something, try Jewish Studies.

What is CLEP credit?

CLEP (College Level Examination Program) is a series of tests on different subjects that you can take to receive college credit. Generally, you must score a 50/80 on the test to pass, but all colleges have different requirements. All colleges will not accept all CLEPs, so check with your advisor before taking any tests. CLEP tests will also count for different classes, for instance CLEP College Algebra credits can probably not be applied to a history credit.

How do you test out of college classes?

Test Out Of College ClassesTake the AP (advanced placement) tests. They come in almost every subject (calculus, Spanish, English, chem.... I think they have 20ish to choose from) and you get a score from 1 to 5, and schools require a different score to get credit, but a 4 or 5 is almost always good enough for a semester of credit. There are the advanced placement tests that you really are required to take after an AP class. If you like get a 3 on that and get a stupendous grade on the computerized placement test during registration, then they might give you more credits. But the AP is the surefire way to test out. If you get a five, you get out of everything and jump into requirements for the major instead of "helper courses"International Baccalaureate (IB) courses have exams that colleges can accept to place out of intro courses as well.In addition to AP and IB, you can take CLEP and Dantes exams. The tests cost about $65 and most are worth a one-semester class. Different colleges take different tests. You can usually find the info on the college website. Also be aware that every college and university has its own policies regarding the AP, IB, Dantes and CLEPs courses/grades they will accept. If you're an adult student, it may be worthwhile to check the policies before enrolling, and choose a school with liberal programs. Also, a few colleges will allow students to "test out" of a class, or "place into" a higher class, simply by passing the final exam for the class. This procedure is becoming much less common than in the past, but is still used in many schools, for example, in foreign languages. In order to receive credit for the lower class, you will still have to pay the tuition, but as long as you pass the test you will not be required to attend classes.

How much is the cost to get a bachelor's degree?

There are no standard tuition and fee rates for colleges and universities. Each institution will have rates particular to itself. There are a number of variables to consider to include whether the institution is public or private, the geographical location, the specific program of study (some of which have greater course and/or clinical fees), and whether the school is a two year or four year institution. Once you collect the names of some colleges and universities you have an interest in, you can then research the cost specific to those institutions.
