What are good alto saxophone brands?

Truthfully i cant think of any but if ur looking for a good sax youd probably want to go with one of the following: -Selmer -Yamaha -Yanigasawa I personally have a yanigasawa 901 and i love it but its also up to the person buying the Saxophone so if your rlly looking into buying a saxophone i would 1) research them as much as possible and 2) try it out or have someone you know try it out before you buy it because there might be a saxophone that everyone loves but you hate and youll end up being stuck with it.

This is up for debate but in MY opinion, Selmer-Paris is the creme de la creme of the sax world. Yamaha, Yanigasawa, and Keilworth also make very fine insurments of comparable, and in some peoples opinion, superior quality. If you go with Selmer, be sure you go with Selmer-Paris and not Selmer-USA. If you have doubts about the quality of a sax, just ask your local music store and they will tell you what to look for.

It's really about personal preference.

I suggest going out and trying every saxophone you can get your hands on.

Yamaha and selmer, alongside P.Mauriat, Keilwerth are good brands.

many brands are from various countries. Selmer, for example, if a french company. Yamaha is a Japanese company. At least originally, if not now, the instruments from these companies are made in their respective countries.

Yamaha is a really good sax brand. you can get Yamaha at any Wentworth music, Paramount or tom lee

Selmer is the best, without question, but there are some fine Yamahas, Yanigasawas, and others out there.

For beginners, Yamaha and Selmer saxes are the most common. Professionals use Keilwerth, a German brand. One of the best saxes made is Selmer's Mark VI.
