Depends on how you play them. A guitar is more complex if you want to play chords and leads. You can do it on bass also, but it doesn't usually make clear chords. You can take any instrument to very complex places. The guitar is easier to play than a bass.
Take lessons. You can look up stuff about guitar or get a book. If you go online i would reccomend going to www.ipaguitarpro.blogspot.com because it has alot of chords you can look at and some songs.
Playing the guitar can be easy if basic chords are learned. However, to become an accomplished guitarist, an individual must practice or even take lessons to become more advanced.
No, but it will take some practice. It should be considered a song for intermediate guitarist if you want to play the single notes that are so much a part of the "hook". It can be played beginner style by only strumming the chords. The main chords are D-C-G.
Depends what kind of chords and whether or not you are using distortion. If you have no distortion, then playing chords on the bridge pickup can lead to an overly twangy, very thin sort of tone. However if you want to play distorted power chords, the bridge pickup sounds great. If you aren't using distortion, I would recommend the neck pickup, adjusted to take a little bit of the bass out of it using the tone knob, that gives a nice, fat, balanced sound to chords
Local music stores usually offer music lessons where one can learn how to play guitar chords. Websites such as Justinguitar and About provide information about guitar chords as well.
Just watch some videos on Youtube and try copy the chords.

Be confident and keep a straight face. I have one. If you wrote songs, go to a music store. Buy guitar tabs for your group. Take time to write out chords. Buy a cheap but useful music stand. It helps when you write a new song, to help them be able the find chords while the song is playing. It's easier to learn.
