To play a flute, you hold it up to your mouth, but don't cover the mouthpiece with your mouth. Blow air across the mouthpiece, and press down keys in different combinations to get out different notes. (See a flute fingering chart.)
From low C or B depending on the flute, to around high F So there r like 43 notes or like 3.5 octaves I play flute and I can only play up to high C # cuz the other notes r really high... idk if I'm right with the high notes but it's somewhere around ther :/
