No, they have a pipe major who will set the initial tempo and direct tempo changes with his or her foot. The pipes only play at one volume so there are no crescendi or diminuendi to direct. The reason drummers don't get any credit is because they only play a part that people don't like as much as a lead singer or someone who plays the guitar. Drummers in Bands do get credit, infact they are a huge part of the band. They keep the beat to the song and if they go far in their musical ability they get paid alot. Poeple see drummers in the background usually at rock concerts, but with out the drummer it would be empty.
A group of drummers is commonly referred to as a "drumline." This term is often used in the context of marching bands, where a drumline features multiple percussionists playing together in a coordinated manner. Additionally, in other musical settings, they may simply be called a "percussion ensemble."
The possessive form for the plural noun drummers is drummers'.
