The Pentatonic is by far the most useful, because anything you play with the pentatonic will sound good. Major/Minor pentatonics are exactly the same shapes for related scales e.g. A minor and C major use the same notes, and B minor and D major use the same notes. You only need to add a few notes to get a full Major or Minor scale, of a Modal Scale.
The octave ( eight steps single notes) is probably the most easiest, it propably sounds like this do ra me fa so la te do. This can be used with any major scale.
The pentatonic scale.

It's nothing more than a music scale such as a Major, Minor, and Dominate scale. These are seven note scales that any instrument can play. As for a guitar scale, it's a diagram that outlines the fretboard (neck) of a guitar and shows all the notes to be played for a given scale at certain positions along the guitar neck. It shows the fingering (sometimes with numbers) to help you place the correct fingering as you play each note of the scale. Not all scales are seven notes such as jazz, blues, and pentatonic scales which can have more or less notes. Hope this helped better understand! The simplest way to understand a guitar scale, it is a eight step movement using single notes it can be played anywhere on the guitar.
not if you want to be the best learn basics by a book of chords/power chords once you have a couple down learn by ear no matter how long it takes and i guarantee you will be good ( guitar takes patience to be the best)
It would help alot if you learned some of the scales on the guitar and how they fit with the chords being played
If you are 13+ , get a full size beginner guitar like a fender cd60 Otherwise get a 3/4 size
For sure when it comes to guitar or bass (I play both), the pentatonic scale is best to learn. It is pretty simple too. In my opinion i would just look it up on google "pentatonic scale bass" and that should to the trick
Its always good to learn the guitar, if you can start at the age of 8 - 12 If you love that instrument, age do not matter.
