Try cleaning the contacts on the power sliding door off with spray electronic cleaner. One set is mounted in the front lower door frame, and the second set is on the sliding door. I had this problem happen to me. It was very frustrating, always having to keep the window open when warming the car up in the winter, or accidently closing the door with the keys in the ignition... a real problem that no one could help me with. Someone had written into one site stating it was the security harness.. Either this person was cheated or he is a liar because there is no such thing as a security harness on a 2001 Sienna. The solution came accidentally. I got a new battery and the problem went away after about a week. I had had this problem for about two years so the battery never entered into my mind as an issue. Maybe there are other reasons for this, but my doors were locking at sometimes a rate of 25X/minute. Someone had said they replaced their battery and they still had the problem.. Maybe the strength of the battery is at issue. I got a Sears Gold Diehard. Now I'm not advocting a Sears battery. I'm simply stating that a strong original equipment battery is needed to solve the problem.
