What was written on the back of Jimi Hendrix's Monterey Pop Festival guitar?

He wrote a poem and drew some stuff on it. I saw that piece of the burned guitar at the EMP (Experience Music Project) museum in Seattle, Washington.

What did Janis Joplin Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison have in common?

they were all famous musicians who died at age 27 (making them part of the 27 club) Brian Jones was also one. Ok, ready for this? Each of these guys Janis, Jimi and Jim's names all start with the Letter J, there are also 11 letters in each name. They all at one time lived at the same hotel in Hollywood (see Alice Coopers Book Golf Monster for proof of this). They all preformed at the Whiskey a Go Go. All of them were invited to Woodstock but The doors declined the offer. They all died with in a 3 year period of each other. All of them had a common connection to Frank Zappa. All 3 died of overdoses, except Jimi, He didn't die of the overdose itself rather he died from his head begin strapped down by medical professionals and choked. All of them including Brain Jones seem to be working on a new album at the time of their deaths. When Brain Jones died Jimi dedicated a song to him on national tv and Jim Morrison published a poem called "Ode to LA while thinking of Brain Jones Deceased" . Shortly after died at the same age. Brian and Jim Morrison died on the same day two years apart, both deaths in water. Brian's death certificate says" Death by Misadventure" and Morrison's body was never autopsy so odd to say the least. Jim Morrison would often refer to the deaths of Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix the year before, as saying "Your Drinking with the Third"and he was indeed the 3rd. All of their funerals were mysterious or smaller than one would think. I began a research project on this for my magazine and somehow started crossing the lines..its ironic and seriously strange the timing of it all and the fact that from the outside lookin in? something fishy for sure. Hope this helps a bit!

What did the poem about Jimi Hendrix's suicide say on it?

There is no suicide not because he did not commit suicide. The previous answer was wrong - he did not take barbs and speed, he took perfectly legal sleeping pills. He did indeed die from choking on his vomit because he was laying on his back, though.

What is the scorpion by William Plomer about?

The poem is about the drought in Africa. Plomer speaks of the flooding he experienced in the past in which people died by drowning. The irony is that at the present time in the poem people are dieing of dehydration. He alludes to the fact that heat has become a symbol of Africa. The scorpion itself symbolises death.
