If it were not for Selena the whole Latin Explosion at the turn of this century may not have been possible. Selena literally blazed a trail for such a performers as Shakira, Jenifer Lopez, Kat de Luna, and Selena Gomez to shine and spread their creative talents across a changing America and music industry.
