Debussy wrote a piece for unaccompanied Flute, "Syrinx," a famous tone poem for flute accompanied by orchestra, "Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun," and a sonata for flute, viola and harp. He also wrote music for two flutes, two harps and celesta to be played with a series of recitations titled "Bilitis," not to be confused with the "Chansons de Bilitis" for voice and piano.
