acting agents are people who help you get a job for acting whether its a commercial, a show or a movie. basically if u are really serious about acting and want to do it for the rest of your life as a career, it is best to get an agent. they can easily find clever ways to get you into the acting business. but you must be careful picking one .......some might just want your money and in the end you will get no where.

Agents are people who book live performances for their artist and get promoters for them like Dj ironic preformed at the O2 the agent organized the performance at the O2 the agents had t work closely with the artist dj ironik and work closely with the venue to sort out dates and how much they will charge the audience and the artist and goods and the staff for the security of the public.
When the venue is booked they have to have promoters to promote their business and when and where he will perform they will make posters radio TV ads on twitter facebook newspapers tabloids. They have to sell tickets where ever possible witch means getting in contact with ticket producers websites for example setickets.com ticketmaster.com concerttickets.com and by phoneing the o2 venue.
Promoters also have to promote new albums; album launches new single. They promote these things the same way they would with a concert but they also do one more thing by using radio ads and make sure it gets on the radio and make sure they work with radio people for example heart 101 bbc extra 1.
