Personally I would tell them that it is something that you really want to do. Also, you could say that you could possibly earn a college scholarship for music and arts. If that still doesn't work, come up with a set amount of time that you will stick with it, ie. two years; three years.
Because they like the instrument.
Only if you want to depends what you like
Before you begin to learn a song on the violin it is a good idea to get some music. You may also want to purchase or use the internet to listen to a recording of the song so you know what it sounds like.
When you see someone refer to a "violin outfit," it means they are talking about both the violin and the bow. This sometimes includes the case as well. When purchasing a violin online, you want to make sure you're buying a violin outfit with a case, and not just a violin by itself.
Both violins are good, but it depends on what you like more. Acoustic violins are good if... *you want to play classical music *you don't want to worry with the technical things *you want to just have a common, old fashioned violin Electric violins are good if... *you want to make your own kind of rock/modern genre of music *you are willing to get the deal with the technical things (and buy them) *you want to have a modern, unique violin There are pros and cons with both, but if you want to be simple, get the acoustic. If you want to be futuristic, get the electric. You may even get both! (if you have the money ;) )
It really depends on what instrument you want to learn to play. I play the violin, but I don't know what you want to play. I suggest asking your parents for a tutor.
violin cos its easier

Play the instrument you want to play. The violin and bass are completely different.

they hide it because they dont want you to have it you will get it back
I guess its for a number of reasons they dont want to see them go, to see them grow up they dont want to see them get hurt, or make the same mistakes they did but you have to make mistakes to learn from them, and its best to do them when your younger when the dont hurt so much
Turn 18 or legally file for emancipationTell your parents you don't want to live with them, and that you want to live with your friends
