it is hard to explain. i am deaf and all i do is put my hand on the instrument and then i try to tell the difference between high and low. i was taught to hear through my hearing aids but i didn't hear much so i tried to learn to lip read again and to feel the music. i actually felt the music once on my bare feet playing piano.

Well, if you refer to playing music? as you say "get your groove on" or "feel the music" is a natural thing. The easiest way to put this is, when learning to play an instrument it can be awkward and your playing will be stilted or labored, as you get more confident in your playing/performance you develop a better "feel" for the music, your playing becomes more free then you can work it or as you say "get your groove on", within a band/group structure when musicians jam, "jam meaning just play without actually playing any particular song" and the music develops and they find new ideas and play off one another, then they are termed as "getting their groove on or getting into a groove". You your born with a groove and a beat.
