They do in my back yard...Friendswood, TX 77546
I found a baby sparrow in my yard and i like to now what kind of little bugs they eat its been awhile but i have rescued many baby birds in my time its needs to eat quite often like at least every 15 minutes to 1hour all you have to do is take dry dog food and soak it in water until it is soft keep the food fresh in the refrigerator so it does not spoil it will open its mouth when you stimulate it and eat several bites keep it in a safe place away from other animals or anything that could harm it they eat earthworms and flies try to keep it in your own homemade nest with grass maybe a a big box they grow very quickly continue to feed it the soggy dog food it does not need water until it starts to eat on its own find some worms and put in the box maybe a fly if you can catch one injure it so it cant fly away THE FLY you can even sprinkle some wild bird feed when it has grown its feathers and starts to fly that when you let it go and it will survive i do not know how old your baby sparrow is but if it has all its feathers feed it a worm that you have placed in its box or watch him try to get it and you know its ready or if its trying to fly away if its still bald or fussy and you can see its intestines you have a few weeks to go and all you need is the dog food soaked in water like i said previously when the feathers begin to come that is when you encourage and introduce the worms alive any insect not spiders it will see the worms feed them to it it will catch on fast you then can set a dish of water with it like i said when it tries to fly from you and can then set it free and you have done a wonderful thing
It could eat seeds or small thing's could even eat bugs
Many things will eat a sparrow - the obvious one is a sparrow hawk, but many other hawks will eat a sparrow. Cats and foxes will eat a sparrow if they can catch it.
