Just get a new radio. The stock radios aren't the best thing going.
you will need to unscrew your dash and pull off the front plate of your dash, then you will need to unscrew the stock radio, then you will need to go ahead and pull out the adapter from the back of your radio. -Shocker
You cannot convert a standard radio to receive the satellite radio signal. You will have to purchase a Sirius satellite receiver.
Me also not working

There is no reset button. Disconnect the battery for a few hours, then reconnect and the computer's memory will be erased. You'll have to reprogram your radio setting.
on my 93 impreza wagon, they are manual. located on top of the steering column. designed so the parking lights will not be left on mistakenly, causing battery drain. cup holder hides above radio
Remove the shifter cover, it pops right off. there are 2 screws under it, also remove the cup holder there 2 more screws under it, then the ashtray and the radio slide out together. Its that easy, and they sell a radio adapter wiring harness at autozone for 20 bucks
It's behind the radio-console unit in the dashboard. Pull off the plastic cowling (two screws at the top next to the cup-holder slot, and then two screws in the gear shift boot, for a standard shift model). Then four more screws to pull out the radio and heater controls. The flasher relay is tucked in on the left right there --and it looks slightly different than the aftermarket module that you may have bought to replace it.
take out your dash where your radio is located and check the illumi con unit, i had the same problem with my 1995 Subaru, it is a little black box in mine.

jam a coat hangar in it.
The difference between a Philips portable radio and a standard radio are that a Philips radio is battery powered, while a regular radio is electrically powered.
