What does the 30 seconds to mars triangle symbol mean?

The symbols are: 1: two threes and one zero ( 30) 2: a clock ( SECONDS: because the lines are in opposed direction of the seconds in the clock ) 3: TO (for the two white lines between the other black lines) 4: MARS (because the symbol are the planet mars, with his two moons, Fobos and Deimos. I assume you are talking about the four-character one, that was on the cover of their first album? If so, it stands for "30 seconds to mars". The first symbol, represents two intertwined 3's, meaning 30. The next symbol, showing a circle with the bent lines sticking out, resembles a clock, the two lines representing the minute hand and the hour hand, meaning seconds. The next symbol, the three horizontal (or vertical, depending on the way being read,) parallel lines, mean the number "2" (meaing to) , If i remember correctly it comes from some greek lettering. And the last symbol, the two small circles with the large one in between, represent mars, (the two smaller circles represent mars' two moons.) Many Mars fans get this logo as a tatoo on their arms to show support of the band, and I myself plan to get one in the future.
