Hi,
I think Hank uses two strats on stage, one had gauges 10-46 strings, and other one 12-56
Third guitar on stage is Burns, and i think strings are something like 10-46
Hope this helps you!
Best regards

doubt it , they're all universal , I mean your guitar MIGHT have strap locks on it to lock the strap on the guitar so it doesn't drop during shows. But besides that I've owned like 17 guitars and I've had the same BC Rich strap from ESP to Epiphone
Hank Marvin, the lead guitarist of The Shadows, typically tunes his guitar to standard tuning, which is the EADGBE tuning used by most guitarists. However, he is known for using various scales and modes in his playing, particularly the pentatonic scale, which is a staple in rock and roll and instrumental music. His sound is characterized by melodic leads and intricate harmonies, often utilizing techniques like bending and vibrato to enhance his expressions.
If you are using a strap, you carry it the same way women carry purses, except for the guitar will be on your back. Or you can casually hold it as if you are about to play.
It is not stated in his strap, but i am guessing it is a Yamaha strap considering that he uses a Yamaha guitar. Hope that answers your question. :P
how you hold the guitar affects your left-hand facility on the fingerboard. You'll get the best technique if you hold your left shoulder naturally with your elbow straight down and hand straight up and turned toward you. Adjust the strap to the guitar to where the first position of the neck is just under your hand. Usually, that means a short strap and guitar held up high. Slinging the guitar down around your belt is fine for posing as some kind of rock god, but it cripples your playing.

To comfortably play the guitar standing up for long periods of time, you can use a guitar strap to support the weight of the guitar, adjust the strap to the right height, maintain good posture, and take breaks to avoid strain on your body.

If one plays acoustic guitar, one doesn't need an amplifier..
To hold a guitar standing up, place the guitar strap over your shoulder and adjust it to a comfortable height. Position the guitar body against your chest and use your strumming hand to support the neck of the guitar. Use your fretting hand to press down on the strings to play different notes and chords.
To learn to play the guitar without dropping it, practice proper hand positioning and grip, use a guitar strap for support, and start with simple chords and songs to build your skills gradually.
for the original shadows recordings, he used a vox-badged Meazzi echo box. He currently uses Alesis equipment.
Hank Marvin, the lead guitarist of The Shadows, is known for using various amplifiers throughout his career. He has often favored Fender amplifiers, particularly the Fender Twin Reverb due to its clean sound and versatility. Additionally, Marvin has also used Vox AC30 amplifiers, which complement his iconic tone. His choice of amp contributes significantly to his signature sound, which blends rock and pop styles.
