The last time I saw John Godfrey he was living in Kettering, Northants. I played with him in a six-piece band called Lost Weekend back in the early 80s - but I continued to bump into him occasionally in the 90s. He used to drink in a pub called the Mikado Pheasant in Kettering. He was, and probably still is, an excellent bass player, and often talked about his days with Mungo Jerry.

Yes, John Brunning was a member of Mungo Jerry. He played with the band during its early years, contributing to their unique sound. Mungo Jerry is best known for their hit "In the Summertime," which was released in 1970. However, Brunning's role was more prominent in the band's initial lineup and during live performances.
