Greg was one of the founders, creators & owners of The Wiggles. They never wanted to lose Greg and the group of friends wanted nothing more than to continue together entertaining and educating children. Anthony has called Greg "a brilliant children's entertainer with a beautiful voice that is greatly missed." He said losing Greg is comparable to how it would be if The Stones lost Jagger.
Greg was diagnosed with Orthostatic Intolerance in Nov 2006 and very reluctantly decided on his own to step back from the group that he loved to focus on his health. Doctors think that his rigorous schedule added very heavily to the severity of his symptoms. Greg was 19 when he co-founded the group and was their lead singer for the next 16 yrs. It is thought that the first symptoms of the O.I appeared as early as 1994, although they were sporadic and not very troubling until 2006.
Greg has turned his health around and said in Sept 2009 that he was feeling great and returning to singing doing solo shows.
As of Jan. 18, 2012 Greg has reclaimed his skivvy and is back where he belongs as the Yellow Wiggle!
