In Nova Scotia Viola Desmond's car was in the middle of getting fixed. The car engineers told her it would be fixed over night. She decided to go to a movie theater called Roseland Theater where she tried to get a ticket on the main floor but only white people were allowed to sit on the main floor. The staff demanded her to get off but she didn't, so they called the police who dragged her to jail.
