What happens if you get a speeding ticket while your license has been suspended due to a DUI in Virginia?

You really, really shouldn't be driving on a suspended license to start with, so you're one strike down already.
Your best hope is to pay the speeding ticket quickly, quietly, and w/o fuss, while hoping that they don't cross check with your license status. If they discover that you were driving on a suspended licence you'd, probably get your suspension extended, and another fine.

∙ 15y agoOuch! That is a mandetory and immediate impound of the car, even if it isn't your car. If it IS your car, it is impounded for 30 days and you pay the rent. You won't miss the car very much though, as you will most likely go to jail. You get another suspension equal to the one you are on to be served concurrently with your original suspension. Yeesh ... Virginia is rough! I thought Florida was tough ...

∙ 9y agoFor reckless driving a person can end up paying court fines and have a few points on their license. They can also end up losing their license for a period of time.
