I got my period, but not at school. You can tell your best friend if you are comfortable with it. The best thing to do, is to go to the office and either tell them, or ask to ring your mom about personal reasons.

I don't know why you'd be 'scared' to tell your mom that something expected and normal happened to you, so I can't give you any advice on how to tell her. "Mom, I started my period" would seem like a natural enough way to me. If your mom is so abusive or unreasonable that the thought of doing this strikes terror into you, maybe you should tell a school counselor instead.

wierd.... well i mean you dont realy feel anything, if u do just ask your teacher to go to the bathroom, then get ur emergency kit if you have one then go to the bathroom, and look, and if you see blood then change in to a pad or tampon (u should use a pad first and get used to that b4 u use a tampon) then just go back to class
